Your Role 

 

 

We’re growing – and we’re on the lookout for a talented Underwriter to join our Fleet Business team.

 

This is an exciting opportunity offering excellent exposure to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients and partners, giving you a platform to establish and nurture strong professional relationships.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of brokers, underwriting both new business and renewals.
  • Work with the team to grow the existing book of business and meet new business targets.
  • Assess moderate to complex fleet insurance risks, determining acceptability, terms, conditions, and pricing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers through ongoing communication and regular site visits.
  • Collaborate with the Broker Relationship Team to ensure best practices in account management.
  • Act as a key contact for stakeholders, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and risk management.

 

 

This is a full-time permanent role based out of Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) and offers flexible working arrangements.

About You 

 

  • Demonstrated experience in Motor Fleet Underwriting, Motor Portfolio Management or Motor Risk Engineering experience will be preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in the insurance market
  • Ability to  provide exceptional customer service and build strong working relationships with stakeholders of all levels. 
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and individually to achieve shared outcomes.
