Ngā Momo Mahi | Careers
IAG acknowledges Tāngata Whenua, their customary authority to whenua (land), and recognise the importance of te reo Māori (the Māori language), tikanga Māori (Māori customs and protocols), and te ao Māori (Māori culture and the Māori worldview).
We aim to uplift Māori and their communities by working together with Māori, businesses, and communities to make your world a safer place. Our Komiti Whakahaere Māori (Māori Governance Committee) guides the direction and implementation of Ruaitewānanga (He Rautaki Māori o IAG | IAG’s Māori Strategy).

Meet Our Komiti Member
"He Rautaki Māori, IAG’s Māori strategy, is our commitment to supporting the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) and supporting the prosperity and wellbeing of Māori.
Our Komiti Whakahaere Māori (Māori Governance Committee) are the kaitiaki (guardians) of the strategy and steer the progress of He Rautaki Māori. When I first applied for a role at IAG in 2013, I thought I was entering a world where being Māori was not valued and that I would not belong. After I started, I realised that the people that make up IAG come from a diverse range of backgrounds, and we are supported to bring our authentic selves to work.
As a member of the Komiti Whakahaere Māori, I have the privilege of contributing to the way we as a business support our kaimahi Māori (Māori employees) and wider communities."

Programs and workshops
‘He Toa Takitini’ is inspired from this whakatauki (Māori proverb) – ‘Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini’ and captures our hopes and aspirations for how we work together across IAG. It’s meaning, ‘My success is not mine alone, it is the success of the collective’ embraces the essence of collaborative working, encourages the spirit of building connections, and recognises the importance of celebrating our achievements together.
