Make a difference as a Senior Product Designer

Your Role 

As a Senior Product Designer in our Retail Insurance Australia Digital team, you’ll lead complex initiatives across features and products, using evidence-based design to create experiences that are simple, human and effective. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps, align on outcomes, and deliver high-quality, user-centred design that’s consistent and clear across journeys. 

You’ll play a key role in building maturity in our craft, mentoring others, and contributing to the growth of our design practice. Whether you’re driving interaction design, applying our Chroma design system, or ensuring brand and accessibility standards are met, you’ll help set the bar for great design at IAG. 

This is a two year max term position, with flexibility to be based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne)⁠ or Meanjin (Brisbane)⁠ 

About You 

• Deep experience designing across the full product lifecycle using industry-standard tools 
• A strong foundation in digital design principles including hierarchy, grids, responsive design, Gestalt, colour and typography 
• Confidence delivering high-quality UI and interaction design that meets accessibility standards 
• The ability to manage and supply development-ready design assets 
• Experience applying brand guidelines and design systems at scale 
• A clear, thoughtful approach to collaboration, critique and mentoring 
• A relevant design or business-related degree (or equivalent experience)
