About the Role

As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Tier 1 application support. You will manage and maintain a diverse technology stack, including Linux, PostgreSQL, Python, Bash scripting, networking, and proxy configurations. By proactively identifying and resolving issues, you will help ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of applications. With your expertise in DevOps practices, version control, and data management, along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, you will play a key role in optimising system operations.

In this role, you will configure and oversee proxy servers to ensure secure and efficient network traffic. You will also implement and uphold DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. Using version control systems like Git, you will manage code changes and collaborate closely with development teams to drive continuous improvements and operational success.

 This is a permanent role based in Gadigal country (Sydney)

About You

To succeed in this role, you should be flexible to work outside of business hours when required and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the following technical experience:

Server and System Management: Proficient in managing servers, operating systems, and performing system administration tasks.

Database and Scripting: Skilled in database management, programming, and scripting for automation. eg PostgreSQ, Python

Networking and Proxy: Knowledgeable in networking concepts and experienced in managing proxy servers.

DevOps and Version Control: Familiar with DevOps practices and proficient in version control systems. eg GIT

Data Management: Experienced in data analysis and management to enhance application
