Your Role

 

We have an exciting opportunity at IAG for a Specialist in Portfolio Execution. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving the strategic agenda for some of Australia’s biggest insurance brands. Leveraging your commercial acumen and analytical prowess, you'll ensure the successful delivery of divisional business plans and outcomes by promoting a collective understanding of objectives and key results, while managing risks and dependencies.

 

As a Specialist in Portfolio Execution, you'll support oversight of this varied and complex strategic initiative portfolio. Your ability to generate actionable insights and apply commercial analysis will be key to ensuring impactful results. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where your analytical skills and commercial acumen can truly shine.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Using commercial acumen to track and report on divisional strategic initiatives, benefits, status, and risks to boost delivery confidence and make a real impact.
  • Develop and validate high-quality reporting and actionable insights that empower informed decision-making.
  • Gather and interpret information to identify systemic issues and root causes, fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure adherence to divisional frameworks for benefit realisation, prioritisation, and risk management to support swift and effective delivery.
  • Elevate planning and execution capabilities through stakeholder management, coaching, and support for divisional forums and routines.

 

This role is offered as a full-time permanent position with hybrid working conditions. It is open to candidates at any of our IAG offices across Australia, with a preference for those based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).

 

About You

 

We’re seeking experience and motivation in Portfolio Execution, so to be successful, you should ideally: 

  • Understand the complexities and nuance of Portfolio execution within an insurance context, including how to report to an executive level
  • Be passionate about synthesizing complex information to generate actionable insights
  • Have expert knowledge of benefit tracking frameworks, processes and tools (e.g. Jira Align) and can apply them pragmatically to suit different contexts
  • Have presence and interpersonal skills to enable you to motivate and influence action at all levels
  • Thrive working in cross-functional and complex environments
  • Have demonstrated commercial acumen, potentially from experience in financial services or large consulting firms
  • Enjoy owning projects from start to finish, whether delivering transformative change or continuous improvement
