Technical Team Lead

The Role

 

As the Technical Team Lead for Enterprise Analytics and Event Management team, you’ll be responsible for the operational excellence and continuous improvement of Enterprise Services. More specifically, you’ll sit within Production Services and join us in leading the development, delivery and execution of our strategic goals to ensure operational excellence, enhanced customer experiences, business optimisation and people agility.


This is a unique opportunity for you to bring your technical Splunk knowledge, people collaboration, customer focus and results driven mindset to a role where you will support the entire product life cycle and drive innovation through continuous improvement.

 

A day in the role looks something like this…

 

  • Driving and contributing to the technical design, development and implementation of technology solutions
  • Participate with Splunk platform performance, maintenance and capacity planning and technical execution as needed
  • Mentor members of the technical staff to support and assist in Splunk-related activities
  • Act as an escalation for technical questions or issues
  • Align Splunk and ServiceNow Event Management platform capabilities to the business strategy & roadmap
  • 2IC to Product Manager, Enterprise Analytics and Event Management team
  • Nurture an open, collaborative and innovative (cross-functional) teamwork environment to deliver enhanced customer and business outcomes

 

What you can bring to the role:

 

  • Proven track record of building motivated, collaborative, and productive delivery teams
  • Proven hands on experience as a Splunk Engineer or similar
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to team development
  • Proven specialist engineering and operational experience to an advanced SME level (these include Splunk Enterprise; Splunk IT Service Intelligence; ServiceNow IT Operations Management; MS SCOM; Nagios; New Relic (Synthetic monitoring)
  • Meet with customers to understand their requirements, design solutions and develop business value proposals
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, including the ability to translate deep technical concepts into simple and easily understood business terms
  • Ideally experience with ServiceNow Operational Intelligence or any Event Management platform
  • Experience with integrating enterprise monitoring solutions in a multi-vendor environment, including SaaS environments
  • Ideally have Splunk Certified Administrator, Splunk Certified Architect and/or Splunk Certified
