Claims Consultant - Personal Lines

About the Role
Starting on the 8th of February, we have multiple 6 Month Fixed Term opportunities for Claims Consultants to join our Personal Lines Claims team located in Pyrmont, Sydney. There is the potential for the roles to go longer term! Please note the working arrangement will be a combination of work from the office and work from home.

 

In this position you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims, handling inbound customer queries, liaising with key stakeholders and processing claims. This position will require you to utilise your excellent communication and time management skills whilst providing a high level of customer service. We are a collaborative and engaging team, valuing the opinions and ideas of our consultants to ensure a strong team culture is maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive management of claims life cycle in an efficient, fair and timely manner.
  • Liaise with relevant parties to provide regular updates on the progress of the claims.
  • Apply knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, regulations and internal policy and procedures.
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for continuous improvement in processes within Satellite Claims.
  • Maintain and support relationships with customers including, internal and external providers.
  • Identify potential fraud and maintain claims leakage through correct application of policy wording.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong customer service background – hospitality, retail, contact centre etc.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; as well as exceptional customer service.
  • The capacity to efficiently manage your time and multitask.
  • Ability to take ownership of your work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven negotiations and relationship skills.
  • Please ensure you have the capabilities to work from home if needed.
