Senior Full Stack Developer (React)

The Role  


We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Partner Technology team here at IAG! The role will focus on front-end development, supporting and releasing features on websites for one of our premium brands.  You will be part of a new, persistent DevOps scrum working within in an Agile framework to deliver value to IAG and an awesome online experience for our customers. This is a great role for a Full Stack Developer with experience in DevOps ways of working to work for one of our well-known trusted partners!  If you're an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with strong front-end React, DevOps and Java/J2EE experience then we'd love to hear from you! 


Key Responsibilities 


  • The provision of strong technical expertise and leadership by building and sharing in-depth technical and business knowledge  
  • Analysing, designing, and coding the solution and providing support for solutions and other applications and being accountable for the same  
  • The provision of robust design solutions that are of exceptional performance and quality  
  • Management of incoming support requests with close collaboration with application stakeholders  
  • Perform infrastructure patches to ensure our applications run on modern and secure infrastructure 
  • To define lean processes, practices and standards and ensuring design solutions adhere to these through reviews  
  • Managing expectations of stakeholders  
  • Coaching and mentoring of indirect staff  
  • Lead the build of capability of the team through facilitating training, close collaboration and knowledge sharing with colleagues 
  • Ensure that customer delivery, customer focus, regular open communication, engagement and satisfaction is made a clear priority 
  • Assist the team with production support activities including being a member on their support roster and contribute to continuous improvement activities  


Skills & Experience 


  • React/Redux, Node, HTML5, CSS3, SASS  
  • JavaScript – Advance level required, pref. ES6 experience 

  • Java/JEE with Spring frameworks 

  • CI/CD exposure/experience, Docker/ Rancher, Bamboo 

  • GIT (feature branches & pull requests), JIRA, Confluence,  

  • Rapid prototyping & service stubbing, Leveraging APIs 

  • Performance testing & optimisation 

  • Solid understanding of responsive web development and device limitations  

  • RESTful web services using JSON 

  • Testing frameworks – Cypress, Nightwatch, Selenium
