Are you ready to drive innovation and performance in a newly created role with end-to-end accountability?  

 

As the Media Strategy & Performance Manager at IAG, you'll be at the forefront of our media strategy, reporting directly to the Audience Centre of Excellence Manager. This role requires expertise in media planning, buying, and performance measurement to drive strong business outcomes. You'll lead the relationship with our media agency, ensuring high performance and strategic alignment, while overseeing media plans across various channels.  

 

Your role will also involve developing robust performance measurement frameworks, providing actionable insights on media performance, and staying ahead of industry trends to drive thought leadership within the company. 

 

We're looking for someone with media agency experience or client-side agency experience who has a deep understanding of media buying and how media agencies work. Strong leadership and relationship management skills are essential to drive performance and influence outcomes across the business.

This is a permanent, full-time hybrid role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). 

 

 

Ōu Pūkenga | About You 

 

To be successful in the role, you’ll ideally have the following: 

 

  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and media strategy, with a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field. 

  • Proven track record in leading media strategy and implementation, driving audience growth and marketing performance in a data-driven environment. 

  • Expertise in media, digital media, CRM, performance marketing, and customer analytics, with strong strategic analytical skills. 

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including relationship management and agency collaboration. 

  • Ability to derive insights from complex data sources, create narratives, and take actionable steps, with a deep customer understanding and customer-centric mindset. 

  • Ability to build long-term relationships 

  • Strong commercial acumen, able to measure and articulate marketing and media performance, including ROI. 

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying the voice of the customer to diverse audiences. 

  • Experience in SEO/SEM and digital marketing, with deep knowledge of the publisher landscape and audience-led strategies connecting ATL and BTL executions.
