Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a Senior Product Specialist, you’ll provide expertise and specialist knowledge in the delivery and execution of product and portfolio initiatives across IAG NZ channels. This is to assist the facilitation of key strategic projects to enable growth and profitability and ensure adherence to and management of the Group Product Policy.
In your role as a Senior Product Specialist, you’ll lead product SME in delivering product development projects, identifying trends, and making recommendations to enhance IAG products with a customer-centric focus. You’ll also ensure alignment with Group Product Policy and Design Principles and maintain comprehensive documentation. Additionally, you’ll also support portfolio, channel, and brand strategy development with market research and reporting, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with Group Product Policy and risk practices, with thorough documentation and sign-off.
We have 2 permanent full-time roles, and you have the flexibility to be based anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand.

To be successful in this role, you should ideally possess the following skills and experiences:

An extensive technical understanding of general insurance products and have demonstrated experience as a senior product or underwriting specialist, or equivalent.

Extensive experience in product management/development including reviewing, analysing and comparing products, and developing policy documents and other technical content.

Skilled in stakeholder relationship management.

Strong project management abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Team player.
