YOUR ROLE
We have a permanent opportunity in the Strategy, Planning & Governance team within Retail Insurance Australia (RIA), which includes our national flagship brand, NRMA Insurance. In this role, you’ll support the Executive Manager, Strategy (Top-tier strategy leader) to drive strategy development and renewal across the Division.
Our RIA Strategy team focuses on the most challenging and important questions facing the Division. As part of this close-knit, high calibre team you will focus on 3 core domains:
- Strategic support for the RIA CEO & Group Executive team, including Board strategy day and investor day materials;
- Strategy development for ‘high-impact’ topics across RIA, including go-to-market strategy, customer growth & retention, customer experience, loyalty, claims, supply chain, digital & AI; and
- ‘Future of insurance’ topics including emerging trends, innovation and future business models.
This role will also lead and contribute to strategy capability uplift and development across RIA and IAG Group.
This is a permanent role open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) and Naarm (Melbourne).
ABOUT YOU
- Foundational experience (approx. ~2-4 years) gained within a top-tier strategy consulting firm or investment bank
- First class problem-solving toolkit - strong logical reasoning and creative thinking skills, comfortable working with ambiguous, undefined problem contexts, with the ability to lead analytical and conceptual problem-solving
- Strong quantitative aptitude
- Experience working with large, complex, matrix organisations, with comfort influencing, managing and presenting to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills to deliver against the standard required for an executive audience
- High-level functional knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, digital, supply chain, product, project management, marketing, agile
- Undergraduate / Masters degree with outstanding academic record. MBA not essential but looked upon favourably.
