Your Role 

Joining NRMA’s Analytics & AI team, you’ll utilise analytics and data science techniques to enable better business understanding and inform business decisioning. 

 

Working alongside the Digital Project Delivery team, you’ll leverage your analytical expertise to design, develop, and deploy analytics models that drive impactful business decisions. You’ll create reusable data roadmaps that focus on rapid delivery and improve time-to-value. Collaborating closely with business units, squad leads, and technical teams, you’ll ensure alignment with their needs and foster strong communication. Additionally, you’ll actively contribute to agile team rituals, supporting a positive culture, and enhancing both business understanding and technical skills within the team.

 

You’ll also include driving innovation and change to improve the efficiency of our Data Analytics, Insights, and AI teams. You’ll take initiative in advancing data analytics standards and contribute to defining success metrics for business initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices. As a leader, you’ll guide cross-functional activities, provide technical support, and coach others, thereby elevating the team's overall analytical capability and fostering continuous growth.

 

This is a 12-month max term contract opportunity, and we welcome applicants from all major cities in Australia.  

 

About You 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics, insights or data science utilising analytical tools and techniques to solve complex business problems and synthesize data and information into actionable business decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL and Tableau with a preference for Data Build Tool (DBT)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as Python, Machine Learning and AI, and Cloud analytics are a bonus
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Statistics / Analytics, Finance or related field.
