Your Role
We are seeking a dedicated Social Media Specialist to join the Channel Marketing team within Retail Insurance Australia (RIA). You’ll be responsible for managing the brand on social media platforms, design full funnel paid social media strategies, and delivering insight-driven targeting across all social media ad accounts. With your experience in social and campaign management, your ultimate accountability is to help deliver total customer number growth for IAG across our portfolio of brands.
You’ll drive regulatory compliance, risk management and marketing efficiency across the Customer, Experience and Marketing team, elevating our level of discipline and performance, and all in the service of liberating creativity through great process.
This role will collaborate with the Brand and Communications team, content producers, agency partners to create social media messaging, content and strategies that deliver on strategic marketing priorities.
We have a Permanent or 12-month contract position available and welcome applicants based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) and Naarm (Melbourne). We work flexibly with a mix of work from home and the office.
About You
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in social media roles in house or at agencies, working on digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram (Meta), and TikTok
- A proven track record for producing content and campaigns that deliver business results
- Must have an excellent understanding of social ad campaign management including creative development, audience building, conversion optimisation, and keeping pace with the changing landscape of social media
- Strategic ability to translate the bigger marketing picture into a full funnel social strategy and implementation plan
- Analytical ability to think critically and use data-driven insight to make recommendations based on business requirements
- Strong proficiency in Excel, social media metrics, and budget management, and relationships management
- Minimum bachelor’s degree required
