Your Role
As a Manager, Program Portfolio you will oversee and manage key initiatives that significantly contribute to IIA’s strategic objectives. You will lead and manage the planning and development of integrated portfolio roadmaps, ensuring initiatives are sequenced and coordinated to optimize delivery resources and maximize value creation. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the overall health of the portfolio, including contingent delivery resources, and governing the execution of the portfolio to ensure successful outcomes
The key responsibilities of this role will be:

Design and manage portfolio processes for optimal selection, prioritization, planning, and decision-making for investment allocation.

Align projects with IIA’s strategic goals and objectives.

Collaborate cross-functionally to incorporate strategic priorities into the portfolio.

Manage resources efficiently to maximize value and minimize waste.

Ensure proper distribution of resources (budget, personnel, technology) to support priority initiatives.

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the portfolio.

Develop strategies to address potential challenges and ensure portfolio health.
-
Continuously monitor portfolio performance using key metrics.

Adjust plans and priorities based on performance data and changing circumstances.

Manage a contingent delivery resource pool in line with IIA needs and cost expectations.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity open to candidates based anywhere in Australia.
About You
The successful candidate will have:

Extensive experience in large-scale transformation programs.

Proven experience in planning and portfolio governance.
-
Deep knowledge of portfolio and program management tools and methodologies.
-
Strategic thinking and ability to align activities with business strategy.
-
Proven ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and change.
-
Strong commercial acumen.
-
Senior stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
-
Experience in creating continuous improvement environments aligned with agile principles (SAFe and Scrum).

Developed frameworks for effective systems of work to achieve strategic priorities.
