Your Role
As a Manager, Partnering and Procurement you will lead the strategy and operations for partnering and procurement at IIA. You'll manage and improve these activities across the IIA Insurance Value Chain, making sure they align with IIA's goals, finances, workforce, and risk management. Your role is to ensure consistency in how IIA partners with others through good governance, clear communication, partner engagement, and operational support. You'll also work closely with the Group's partnering and procurement teams to create sustainable value and performance in IIA's spending on third parties, helping the business make informed decisions.
The key responsibilities of this role will be:
- Lead the creation and execution of IIA’s partnering and procurement strategy to meet business goals.
- Manage and improve partnering and procurement activities to boost cost-efficiency and performance.
- Ensure consistent governance, communication, partner engagement, and support across all partnering activities.
- Collaborate with Group partnering and procurement teams to create value and efficiency in third-party spending.
- Provide insights and data to help make informed decisions, considering financial, workforce, and risk factors.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective and sustainable partnerships.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity open to candidates based anywhere in Australia.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in procurement, contract management, or project management.
- Extensive experience in vendor management, including global service providers and contract negotiation.
- Expertise in partnering and procurement strategies.
- Strong understanding of the insurance value chain and industry-specific procurement.
- Experience in commercial and contract management.
- Experience working with offshore and culturally diverse teams.
- Excellent governance and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Adaptability and innovation for continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
