Your Role 

 

Join our Technology & Operations team as the Applications Strategy & Governance Manager, where you’ll support the development and delivery of roadmaps and strategies for critical applications as well as setting delivery standards and disciplines to help govern our critical systems of record. Your strategic technical leadership will drive change across programs and operational teams, optimizing operational and cost efficiency.

 

Leading  across Claims, Supply Chain, and Customer Communications domains, you will ensure the seamless functionality of business-critical systems while enabling secure and scalable digital experiences for our stakeholders. This role combines leadership, innovation, and collaboration to deliver impactful outcomes. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and deliver application strategies and roadmaps with our architects, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Ensure the embedment of our investment in engineering excellence across our engineering community helping to ready our people for a future with AI, SaaS and Cloud at the heart of everything we do.
  • Lift and continuously improve our automation capability across the platform.
  • Oversee compliance with industry standards and regulations, ensuring adherence and accountability across teams.
  • Lead  critical discussions with SaaS providers, fostering strong vendor relationships and ensuring alignment with strategic needs.
  • Manage the delivery of development and integration solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability whilst delivering on customer needs.
  • Cultivate innovation and continuous improvement across teams and projects.
  • Lead a team of highly skilled technology experts to deploy successful solutions to meet customer needs in line with Technology governance and disciplines.

 

This is a permanent role open to candidates based in New Zealand or Australia.

 

About You 

 

You are an experienced and results-driven leader with a passion for innovation and collaboration. With a proven ability to manage people and develop talent, you excel in application engineering and technology solutions. Your expertise in technology strategy execution and/or architecture will be highly regarded and will help your engagement and leadership of your team, peers and broader technology community.

 

You have a knack for building and nurturing relationships with partners, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and delivering strategic outcomes. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement sets you apart. You hold tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field and have relevant certifications such as ITIL, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma. Above all, you bring a collaborative mindset, a focus on delivering results, and the ability to inspire innovation within your teams and projects.
