Your Role
Join our Casualty Underwriting team as a Lead Liability Underwriter, where you'll play a vital role in assessing and managing liability risks to ensure they align with our business strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
We're looking for a skilled underwriter to help drive the growth and profitability of our liability portfolio. In this role, you’ll assess and price moderate to complex risks, apply targeted underwriting strategies, and support key operational activities such as credit management and servicing. You'll also collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries to strengthen client relationships, lead the use of rating tools, and mentor junior team members—contributing to both portfolio performance and team success.
This is a full-time permanent position open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).
About You
• Experience with insurance legal and regulatory environments, as well as risk analysis and selection.
• Intermediate knowledge of pricing, portfolio management, and intermediary account management.
• Working experience with reinsurance and in-depth knowledge of insurance products and their features.
• Strong strategic development capabilities
• Liability underwriting or liability broking experience required.
