About the Role

As the Executive Manager, PRI & Liability Claims, you'll oversee our Liability and Professional Risks portfolios, delivering outcomes that matter for both our customers and our organisation. You'll champion innovation in claims handling, foster strong industry partnerships, and lead cultural transformation to enhance team performance.

In this role, you will:

• Set the strategic direction for Liability and Professional Risk Claims, aligning priorities with broader business objectives.
• Drive operational excellence, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of complex claims while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
• Leverage your deep technical expertise to navigate claims cost management, reserving accuracy, and risk frameworks.
• Lead a collaborative, high-performing culture, empowering teams through development, engagement, and succession planning.
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, shaping the future of Liability and Professional Risk claims in the industry.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity and open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) and Meanjin (Brisbane) 

About you

You’re an accomplished leader with demonstrated experience in managing complex claims portfolios. You thrive in navigating the evolving landscape of liability and professional risks, bringing:

• Extensive experience in general insurance or financial services, with expertise in long-tail claims.
• A strong technical foundation in liability and professional risks claims, coupled with a clear focus on operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Proven ability to collaborate with legal professionals and understand the intricacies of contractual terms (no legal qualifications required).
• Innovative thinking when it comes to leveraging technology to drive efficiencies and manage risk across claims portfolios.
• Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and empower teams while fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
• Confidence in representing the organisation at industry forums and building strategic partnerships that elevate our reputation.
