YOUR ROLE
This is a great opportunity to join our Customer and Product Communications team within Retail Insurance Australia (RIA). Your unique contribution is to translate technical insurance information into simple and accessible language that helps people interact with our digital channels to buy, renew, claim or learn more about our products and services.
You’ll be part of a cross functional team to deliver a program of work, to identify the concepts a customer needs to know, determine the best way to communicate those concepts, write copy, and secure approvals. The form of the content will depend on the program of work.
The Content Designer/Specialist role works closely with other capabilities such as brand, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), User experience (UX), User Interface (UI), behavioural science, and others. You’ll both represent and be supported by your home team of 8+ content designers.
Our ideal candidate will have experience with writing SEO copy for websites, apps, or other digital channels, have knowledge of content design best practice, and be able to share examples of recent writing and content design work.
This is a 9-month contract role open to candidates based in all major cities in Australia with a mixture of working from home and in the office.
ABOUT YOU

Superior ability to write and edit clear, succinct, accessible content

Previous experience as a content designer working on product information, question sets, microcopy, help text and error messages

Experience with approval processes with legal or other approvers, refining the content as necessary, and documentation of approvals

Strong understanding of digital user experiences accessibility principles

Familiarity with SEO optimisation copy, Jira and Agile

Experience in cross-functional teams or working groups

Ability to prioritise and sequence work (with a PO) for best efficiency

Solid experience writing and planning digital content (mainly web and apps), comfortable explaining content design processes and rationale

Excellent stakeholder management

Strong data focus and experience with data-driven decision making
