YOUR ROLE
As DevOps Environments Lead, your role is to provide simple, reliable, and effective environments to support the delivery of program outcomes. This will involve gathering requirements, building an environment strategy and detailed plan, and then implementing and continually improving over a multi-year program of work.
You will balance the practical side of delivering and operating the environments required by the program, alongside uplifting and enabling smarter, simpler, and more effective ways of working. To do this you will proactively apply SRE, observability, and DevOps practices to achieve more reliable and simpler to operate environments.
As a key role in the program, you will also be involved in decision-making and problem-solving across a wide variety of domains. You will work with a wide variety of business, program, and technology stakeholders.
This is a full-time, permanent role that is open for candidates located in major cities in Australia or New Zealand and involves a hybrid work model.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a DevOps Environments Lead, with excellent collaboration skills, a knack for innovation, and a focus on customer satisfaction, along with the following experience:
- Demonstrated experience in technology environments, infrastructure, or application development.
- IT Transformation and/or Greenfields experience – 8+ Years.
- Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Know about testing best practices.
- Have a clear understanding of modern technology practices (DevOps, SRE).
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and inter-personal skills.
- Desired personal or commercial insurance knowledge and experience.
