Your Role 

In a key leadership role, you’ll steer the strategic and operational leadership of Retail Insurance Australia (RIA) Customer Technology Platforms Engineering practice in line with the Customer Platform technology strategy to deliver a best-in-class customer experience across the customer ecosystem including customer identity and access management, customer consent, customer payments and customer loyalty.

 

The role is responsible for driving the strategic evolution of CLP’s Tier 1 and 2 systems and that they are up-to-date and operational to ensure ongoing operational effectiveness and stability. You'll also deliver operational excellence to optimise the run cost of the platform.

 

You’ll drive opportunities for operational partnering within platforms to deliver simplification, agility and scale. Your thought leadership and strategic technical guidance will drive adoption of new engineering capabilities and techniques to ensure ongoing operational effectiveness and stability that will deliver best in class products. You’ll ensure alignment of all OKRs between Chapters in Practice and Value Stream Leads and promote connection into the wider IAG Technology & Operations You’ll also provide lead the execution of the overarching CLP technology strategy, as well as clarity on trade-offs where optionality presents. You’ll be a thought leader into the Group and will drive connection into Tech & Ops and Innovation to foster further opportunities for the Platform’s success. 

 

This is a permanent role, and we welcome applicants from all major cities in Australia.   

 

About You 

  • 10+ years’ experience across leadership in application development and operations, people management including talent development, working with partners and suppliers, and technology strategy development and execution
  • Knowledge across engineering disciplines, application development methodologies, tools, cloud and modern DevOps
  • Knowledge across key technology enablers of CIAM, Consent, Payments, Decision Engines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Workforce planning, budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in Information Technology or related fields
  • Relevant industry or specialism qualifications e.g. ITIL, Agile, Lean, 6 Sigma
