YOUR ROLE  
 

 Are you passionate about shaping the narrative of leading, purpose-led brands and driving impactful earned media campaigns? We are looking for a dynamic professional to take on the exciting challenge of managing earned media campaigns for IAG’s consumer brands, including NRMA Insurance – Australia's most trusted insurance brand. 

 In this role, you’ll work closely with the Principal Brand and Content, overseeing end-to-end proactive earned media campaigns.  

You will partner with the Marketing and Customer Experience team, offering strategic reputational advice and seizing earned media opportunities. You'll manage external communications agencies in delivering campaigns while developing media briefings and providing coaching to internal spokespeople for successful media interviews. You'll also liaise with external brand and charity partners, ensuring seamless joint announcements and media campaigns to elevate partnerships and support community impact goals. 

You’ll collaborate across teams, including Marketing, Community Impact and Employee Communications, to deliver integrated campaigns.  

Your role will extend into digital, where you'll work cross-functionally to bring proactive communications to life across a range of digital platforms. You'll be at the heart of tracking and measuring the impact of these campaigns while crafting engaging content for IAG’s digital channels, including its newsroom and LinkedIn page.

This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney). 

  

ABOUT YOU  
 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences; 

  • A minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in-house or agency PR.  

  • Consumer brand communications experience and excellent news sense.  

  • Exceptional writing and media relations skills.  

  • Experience managing integrated communications campaigns.  

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrate resilience under pressure. 

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with, media and internal and external partners.  

  • Excellent attention to detail.
