Create impact as a Senior Underwriter - Property 

Your Role    

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to design, develop and implement tailored underwriting solutions for ISR property risks, centred around our customers, enabling positive customer journey, making CGU easier to do business with.

Determine the acceptability, conditions and pricing of ISR property risks and agree on coverage within business strategy, business treaties, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, product offerings and designated authority level.

Your decisions on complex risk selection and appetite will be critical in delivering on our Insurance Margin and, growth and retention targets. Through your role we will be able to deliver a consistent customer experience across brand, channels and products. 

This is a permanent position which can be based in (Naarm) Melbourne. 

About You   

• Proven current knowledge of ISR Property Underwriting as demonstrated by significant involvement both internally and externally  
• Experience in an underwriting role where there has been a demonstration of technical knowledge and skills reflective of a subject matter expert who has progressed within underwriting positions of increasing responsibility 
• Demonstrated leadership experience where you can coach and mentor team members
