YOUR ROLE
We are looking for an outstanding Senior Test Automation Engineer. You will be an integral part of the T&O Insurance Platform Team.
As part of your role, you will need to develop test automation framework, create new automated tests for test data creation, test new functionality during the sprint, perform automated shakeout testing of the continuous integration pipeline, and conduct reliable automated regression testing.
You will collaborate with project teams to tailor service support options to meet project requirements and technology systems. Your responsibilities include enhancing the platform test automation framework and developing new test assets.
This permanent role is for anywhere in Australia or New Zealand and involves a hybrid work model.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with excellent collaboration skills, a knack for innovation, and a focus on customer satisfaction, along with the following experience:

Experience in planning, coordinating, and reporting on test efforts for projects.

Experience in designing & developing test automation strategy incorporating test automation best practices and standards.

Experience in context-based and risk-based testing of complex business applications

Expertise in the use of a BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) framework based on Cucumber.

Extensive experience in developing test automation frameworks & testcases using automation tools such as Selenium/Capybara, Playwright or similar for UI interfaces, Mongo for data handling, contract testing, etc.

Programming expertise in at least one programming language e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript or similar

Experience in use of databases – RDBMS as well as NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB will be highly beneficial.

Experience producing high quality, easy to consume documentation such as test automation approach, patterns, decisions, status reports etc

Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to orchestrate knowledge transfer sessions with team members/peers and other stakeholders

Experience in the Insurance industry (desired)
