Your Role

 

In this role, you will be instrumental in driving cultural change towards agile and modern delivery models, contributing to a large-scale transformation focused on Continuous Delivery and Lean Governance principles.

As a Release Management/Governance Specialist, you'll create and maintain the release roadmap, lead the planning & co-ordination of complex releases across multiple platforms, implement and uphold release management controls & governance processes, and ensure adherence to both internal and external requirements.

Working closely with delivery leads and implementation teams, you'll manage dependencies and ensure effective communication of changes, identify and address risks, lead change management initiatives, and offer guidance on release governance best practices.

Moreover, you’ll continuously improve the release management process, increase automation, and play a key role in supporting your team’s strategic goals and delivery objectives.

 

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, and we welcome applicants from Naarm (Melbourne).

 

About You

 

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong task prioritisation, deadline management, and complex task handling skills, along with a focus on continuous improvement and proactive risk management. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

 

  • Good experience coordinating the complex multiple releases in a large-scale environment / complex technology eco system.
  • Strong release management experience implementing & driving release management best practices and governance standards at scale.
  • Ability to plan, manage & deliver multiple integrated releases applying different release approaches, whilst ensuring adherence to change management processes
  • Experience driving change in a complex environment and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, audience appropriate communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of modern software delivery approaches (CI/CD, DevOps, Test Automation etc) and agile ways of working
  • Experience with development of release roadmaps, release checklists etc and producing accurate & concise documentation
  • Facilitation of sessions including release planning, implementation co-ordination, blameless port-mortems (Post incident reviews) etc
  • Proven experience in business and IT relationship management; working in/with matrix structures and influencing senior business and technology leaders
