Your Role
We are hiring for a Risk Engineer!!!
This role is instrumental in improving our customers’ risk profiles, this role directly contributes to the profitability and sustainability of our business. Conducting detailed site inspections, analysing risks, and reporting your findings; you’ll negotiate with customers to improve their risk management strategies and ensure business continuity.
You’ll truly own the space; enjoying travel and the flexibility of managing appointments with passionate business owners. This is an brilliant opportunity where you’ll be at the forefront of risk management. You’ll also play a pivotal role in supporting our underwriters.
Based in Naarm (Melbourne), this permanent full-time opportunity offers hybrid working conditions.
The Role & Responsibilities
Completion of onsite risk surveys for commercial and industrial properties, focusing on:
- Provide loss prevention risk engineering reports
- Undertake ongoing risk management of insured customers to improve their risk profile
- Provide general technical support to assist Underwriting staff, partners and customers
- Undertake desktop reviews and risk analysis of third-party reports to assist underwriters

About You
We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline)
- Experience in the insurance industry whilst desirable, is not essential for this role as training will be provided where required
- Previous post-graduate experience (in any areas of engineering) with the ability to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge and skills
- Proficient in performing risk evaluations and detailing mitigation strategies
- Adaptable with demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- You are an effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Australian citizenship / permanent residency in Australia
