Your Role 

Part of Intermediated Insurance Australia’s Workers Compensation (WC) team, the purpose and UVA of your role is to lead the design and execution of (a) the Annual WC People Plan to promote an engaged and capable workforce, exceptional service, evidence-based decision making, and a high performance culture (b) the 12-month learning and development framework and calendar (across Business Development, Underwriting and Claims functions) focussing on service, technical expertise and leadership, and (c) the end-to-end WC communication framework and updates nationally to keep our people informed, aligned and connected. 

 

To achieve its objectives, your role must gain feedback, input and support from workers compensation functional managers, their teams and from broader internal and external functions.  To succeed, your role engages the WC Leadership Team directly and provides options and recommendations to prioritise, design and execute its work which may extend to talent days, staff engagement, external speakers, the development of external offsite, and other events that promote the achievement of our people and business objectives. 

 

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role, and we welcome applicants from all major cities in Australia.  

 

About You 

  • Insurance industry experience in Workers Compensation with qualification e.g. ANZIF cert IV completed or in progress, tertiary degree or equivalent level of industry experience (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders and operating as part of a team (essential)
  • Very strong communication skills and ability to develop relationships, work effectively with others, and consider needs & potential contributions of others
  • Ability to lead teams of people through significant change over periods of time and create environments where accountable and respectful teams thrive and deliver outstanding results
  • Strategic mindset to see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
  • Ability to cope with pressure and to prioritise workload to meet timeframes
  • Ability to work autonomously within a small team framework
