YOUR ROLE     

 

Are you ready to lead the future of insurance risk governance? In this pivotal role, you’ll manage and enhance the group insurance risk framework, related group policies, and governance documentation, ensuring effective insurance risk management across the group. You’ll spearhead the development and review of these frameworks and policies, managing the policy alignment system for robust control assurance, and drive innovation and continuous improvement through cutting-edge technology solutions.

 

In this dynamic role, you’ll build strong relationships with business divisions, providing expert advice and guidance to insurance risk managers and their teams. Your contributions will be vital in committee and board reporting meetings, and you’ll play a key role in fostering an insurance risk culture that aligns with IAG’s values and strategic goals. This is a permanent full-time role open to our offices in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) & Meanjin (Brisbane)⁠.

ABOUT YOU      

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally meet the below criteria: 
   
•    Extensive experience in general insurance (both commercial and personal lines).
•    Proven expertise in developing, managing, and assuring risk frameworks.
•    Relevant tertiary and/or professional insurance qualification.
•    Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Highly organized with strong attention to detail and forward planning.
•    Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
