YOUR ROLE
As an Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for helping IAG to continuously improve its management of risk, with specific focus on insurance risk, data risk, and risk culture.
You will lead independent and objective audits reviewing key processes, and strategic programs, providing quality information to assist management in managing risk exposures. You will oversee co-sourced resources in the delivery of key audits.
You will assist IAG to comply with company policy and regulatory requirements and achieve business objectives. The role provides broad exposure to senior management across the business. You will also contribute to making Group Internal Audit a great place to work via participation in team initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
This is a 12-month max-term contract role and can be based in Sydney (Gadigal country) or Melbourne (Naarm).
(There will be some travel required to deliver specific audits and take part in team strategy or training sessions. IAG supports hybrid working combing the advantages of office-based collaboration, and home-based work focus and flexibility).
ABOUT YOU
• Relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. finance, business, risk, accounting, economics, IT (Information Technology), psychology
• Relevant professional post graduate qualifications e.g. Institute of Internal Auditors, Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), Chartered Accountancy, Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)
• Internal or external audit background, or equivalent 1st Line or 2nd Line assurance experience, understanding the objectives and outputs of an Internal Audit function
• Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior managers to deliver on reviews and to meet business objectives
• Proven ability to manage complex reviews end to end, influence senior management through adapting style and proactive relationships
• Ability to articulate clear and concise opinion – written and oral - on demand to all levels of management
• Experience with ServiceNow, data analytics in assurance reviews, and risk culture assessments is highly desirable.
