YOUR ROLE 

Our Services Engineering Team within the Environment & Release Engineering Division is looking for an experienced Environment Governance Lead and you could be it!

Your role encompasses the development and alignment of an environment governance strategy and the establishment of diverse standards by organisational goals. You will devise processes, tools, and automation methods to elevate the stability and availability of environments within a complex ecosystem.  Furthermore, you will lead environmental governance meetings, working closely with stakeholders to promote consistency across different platforms. Your responsibilities also involve overseeing risk management and actively engaging with stakeholders. Additionally, you will offer continuous support to platform teams, guiding them in adhering to best practices in environment management and DevOps. This includes troubleshooting queries and addressing requests related to environments.

 

This is a full-time, permanent role that is open for the Sydney/ Melbourne location and involves a hybrid work model.

 

ABOUT YOU

We are currently in search of an Environments Governance Lead with a proven leadership track record in driving and facilitating change within complex environments. The ideal candidate should also showcase strong abilities in managing stakeholders effectively. The desired candidate will possess the following experience:

  • 7yrs+ of technical delivery management experience with a strong software engineering or DevOps background
  • Strong Environment management experience implementing/driving environment management best practices and governance standards at scale.
  • Ability to support integrated enterprise releases and change management processes.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies/tools and deliver collaborative outcomes.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code principals & event-driven architectures. 
  • Experience with version control, development & Engineering best practices, building scalable CI/CD solutions & implementing CI/CD code quality controls.
  • Experience with DevOps technologies including or similar to the following:
    • CI/CD tooling: GitHub, Jenkins or similar.
    • Programming/scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar 
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience leading & mentoring engineers on best practices and delivering enterprise services/products.
