Your Role
As a DevOps Consultant (Environment Governance, you will oversee environment processes and ensure the application of best practices. You will assist software development teams by utilizing DevOps methodologies and automation tools to optimise the building, testing, and deployment of applications. Your role will also involve addressing environment integration issues and enhancing availability, reliability, and management practices. Furthermore, you will work with platform teams on compliance checks, audits, and risk assessments related to environmental concerns, while implementing ongoing compliance monitoring and maintaining detailed compliance records and reports.
Additionally, you will collaborate with platform teams to enable them to adopt and integrate our engineering practices. This includes providing the necessary documentation, templates, and tools to support their daily development, testing, and release activities. You will ensure that these practices are set up for success and aligned with our centralized governance framework
This is a 12 month fix term contract, and we welcome applicants from Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne).
About You
- Experience with handling integrated environment issues in a complex multi-application eco-system
- Experience with compliance monitoring and incident management implementation & reporting
- Creating connections and collaborating closely with other teams to help them improve and grow capability.
- Hands-on understanding of modern software delivery approaches (CI/CD, DevOps, Env & Release management) and Agile ways of working.
- Hand on Experience with CI/CD tools and platforms including GitHub/Jenkins/Bamboo, NewRelic, Grafana, JIRA, Confluence and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
- Experience with automation skills and techniques using scripting languages to streamline processes and improve environment efficiency
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, work to deadlines and manage complex tasks.
