Your Role 


Reporting to the State Manager – Victoria/Tasmania, this role is responsible for the day-to-day team workflow, allocation and determining the acceptability, conditions, and pricing of moderate to complex insurance risks referrals. You’ll agree on coverage within business strategy, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, product offerings and designated authority level.

 

As a Distribution Team Leader, you will manage underwriting referrals, complex workflow incidents and escalations where required. You’ll develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to optimise outcomes and to address and resolve complex issues. 


This is a permanent role open to candidates anywhere in Australia.  
 
  
About You 


•    Solid insurance industry knowledge with exceptional understanding of insurance products features and benefits
•    Underwriting experience (Level C preferred)
•    Demonstrates experience in coaching, mentoring and collaborates 
•    Customer focus, excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
•    Business acumen, accuracy and attention to details 
•    Knowledge of underwriting risk management, risk analysis and selection 
•    Extensive experience in solution development
