Your Role
As an Operational Compliance & Risk Consultant, you’ll be part of the team responsible for identifying compliance and/or regulatory risks affecting the Retail Insurance Business, and co-ordinate activities which ensure first line compliance risk maturity meets community expectations through the operationalisation of compliance plans. This includes ensuring key regulatory information requests and investigation responses are provided in a timely manner, compliance risks embedded within risk profiles, and mapping of key controls to legal/ regulatory obligations. 

This role will be pivotal in maintaining and maturing IAG’s relationship with key stakeholders and will act as a strong influence through the provision of compliance advice in partnership with the second line Group Risk Compliance function. 

This is a 12 month fixed term position with flexibility to be based anywhere in Australia. 

About You

• Experienced compliance professional with experience in Risk Management within the Insurance or Financial sector, along with strong business acumen. 
• Demonstrated experience in controls testing. 
• Developed understanding of the regulatory environment, compliance obligations and effective controls. 
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing risk and assurance learning frameworks. 
• Capabilities in respect of core systems, risk systems and data maintenance. 
• Strong understanding of key parameters and decision factors in managing compliance risk effectively.
