Ready to make your mark in the exciting world of underwriting? We're seeking a skilled Liability Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and nurturing key broker portfolios & driving growth and profitability across designated liability lines. Collaboration is key – you'll work closely with Senior Underwriters and branch staff to ensure top-notch service and support for our broker partners. As part of the Liability team, you'll play a vital role in contributing to team success, providing support across the unit, and actively seeking ways to enhance processes.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with hybrid working conditions and is open to any IAG office locations in New Zealand, with a preference for Auckland.  

Ōu Pūkenga | About You

In order to be successful in this role, you’ll ideally meet the below criteria:

•    Experience in general liability and financial lines underwriting.
•    Sound understanding of other general insurance functions and inter- relationships.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
•    ANZIIF Senior Associate or Fellow and other relevant business degree or diploma (preferred).
•    Good communication skills.
•    Strong team player.
