Make a difference as a Motor Assessor.

Join the largest insurance group in Australia and New Zealand.

YOUR ROLE

We have a number of exciting permanent opportunities for Motor Assessors to join our team in Adelaide.

Your key focus will be to assess motor vehicle damage using your trade experience to ensure that motor vehicle repairs are conducted in an appropriate manner, and the repair costs are fair and reasonable.

You'll also be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders across IAG brands and achieving favourable motor vehicle assessment outcomes through the use of national frameworks and approved motor supply chain models.

As a Motor Assessor, you'll be responsible for assessing and adjusting claims for vehicles. You’ll manage your own case load from start to finish, assessing the damage, quantifying loss, initiating repairs and replacement, and working with customers on negotiating settlements whilst providing an exceptional level of customer care.

Relationship building with key stakeholders is critical, along with having knowledge of vehicle construction and repair methods.

Comprehensive training will be provided for successful applicants. Please note this will include an initial 6 weeks on-site training with 6 months additional training supported by the Technical Workplace Coach.
Unfortunately, we can’t consider applications for those unable to meet this schedule requirement.

Once the above induction has been completed, the role will move to a hybrid working model with a mixture of on-road and desktop/digital assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Assess motor vehicle claims, inspect damage, and use your trade experience and training to determine fair and reasonable repair costs and ensure the correct method of repair and settlement is established.
•    Provide an extremely high level of customer service. Relationship building and people interaction are a large part of this role.
•    Complete vehicle quality inspections and other tasks associated with motor vehicle assessing.
•    You must be a team player and willing to learn and work collaboratively both in office and out in the field.
•    Problem solve issues between IAG and our customers and repairers to establish fair and reasonable outcomes.

ABOUT YOU
