Mulesoft Integration Support Engineer

The Role 
We’re looking for an Integration Ops Engineer to join our Integration Services team here at IAG! In this role you will be responsible for production support for the MuleSoft capability, standing up the infrastructure for the MuleSoft stack on Windows and Linux in a DevOps environment. Not only will you be working on BAU delivery, but also significant project work for the business! You will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas on the MuleSoft roadmap for IAG, as well as expand your skill set across other areas within Integration Services like Kafka, IBM and many opensource technologies such as Springboot, Kubernetes, AWS, Ansible and more!

Key Responsibilities
•    Production Support of integration platforms
•    Support delivery teams to efficiently create, build, test and deploy software, enabling Continuous Integration practices and leading the way with automation of deployment pipelines
•    Support software releases via the Continuous Delivery pipelines, working with the delivery teams to ensure software testing and deployment is automated all the way to production
•    Review and continuously improve our documentation, ensuring patterns, decisions and environment infrastructure are captured accurately, well-articulated, and easily consumed
•    Lead and train delivery teams to implement instrumentation of application and infrastructure to obtain quality and performance insights including in-depth diagnosis and tuning of services
•    Provide expert technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability
•    Lead the in-depth analysis of test results to confirm test validity, triage root-cause of any failures, report on any performance issues or defects and identify and provide recommendations on next steps
•    Contribute to the development of application and infrastructure security designs/patterns including management of certificates and secrets
•    Enable platform software delivery teams by leading the implementation of cross-platform production-like environments for testing
•    Advocate beyond your immediate team to implement continuous improvement initiatives that benefit all IAG Technology staff
•    Orchestrate knowledge transfer sessions with fellow Engineers and other stakeholders both internally and externally


Skills & Experience
•    ESB technologies – MuleSoft Infrastructure and support
•    Queuing technologies such as AMQ and IBM MQ
•    Linux and/or Windows server skills
•    ITIL process lifecycle 
•    Ansible and /or PowerShell (Infrastructure automation) – desirable 
•    Security driven e.g. embedding security in software delivery
•    Good understanding of networking
•    Experience in Monitoring and Alerting – Prometheus and Splunk
•    Experience in Kubernetes and cluster management / administration
•    Exposure to SQL in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Mongo and DB2
•    Continuous Integration tools and technologies including Docker, Ansible, Rancher, Bamboo, Jenkins 
•    Exposure to Cloud computing such as AWS, Azure and/or Private Clouds
•    Infrastructure orchestration and initialization scripts to automate creation of complex virtual environments
