Welcoming Queensland: inside our RACQ alliance
In September 2025, IAG completed one of its biggest partnerships yet: a 25-year strategic alliance with RACQ, Queensland's largest motoring club to provide RACQ general insurance products and services for RACQ members and Queenslanders. Under the agreement, IAG bought 90% of RACQ's insurance business in a partnership that will help RACQ's 1.7 million members and Queenslanders live and move safely, securely and sustainably into the future.

When severe weather strikes, IAG's 24/7 Major Event Command Centre becomes the hub for coordinating response efforts across Australia and New Zealand. Combining real-time weather intelligence, customer insights and insurance expertise, it helps guide decisions and mobilise support where it's needed most. From proactive outreach to deploying on-the-ground response teams, it's one of the ways IAG helps customers and communities navigate the unexpected with confidence.
